Case Study: Bed Threads x Artbid Collab

When launching a brand new social media account, it can be challenging to grow the number of followers quickly. That’s why we love collaborating with other, more established accounts to collaborate on mutually beneficial campaigns.

We thought we’d take you behind the scenes on our recent collaboration between our client Artbid and the iconic homewares retailer, Bed Threads.

Artbid hosts premium online art auctions for contemporary Australian art. They reached out to Bed Threads as they knew there would be a lot of overlap in the consumer profiles of the two brands. Both attract art and design lovers in Australia. Artbid were hoping to tap into the more established audience of Bed Threads to build brand awareness ahead of their scheduled auction on January 30.

Each brand agreed to donate a prize for this collaborative competiton, Artbid giving a custom piece by Melbourne artist Emma Currie, and Bed Threads giving a luxurious bedding set.

The Meaningful Social Club facilitated this co-collab competition, creating the initial strategy and posting plan, then visiting Emma’s Melbourne studio to capture content.

The competition was entered by over 4,000 people, with Artbid gaining over 2k new Instagram followers in a matter of days, which was a great boost ahead of their big auction. The competition Reel was watched by over 140,000 people. This also created an attractive pool of potential consumers to retarget with paid social media content to build brand awareness and increase conversions.

We love working on projects like this that fuse strategic digital marketing with gorgeous content. It was a great outcome for our client, Artbid, as well as for Bed Threads.
